Well, the cat is out of the bag. Last week Salsa sent out some very top secret info to a few select dealers on the two newest additions to their frame lineup. This info was supposed to be kept on the down low until an official product release in the new year. Somebody leaked images to message boards and Salsa had to get the facts out before wild internet rumor took off like a Tiger Woods driving violation. The cool thing is now we can release the info that we know and give you first crack at getting one of these beauties of your own with a pre-order.
Apparently there has been development of Ti frames in Salsa Land for over a year. What they have in the production pipeline right now is a Ti Ala Carte and Ti El Mariachi. Same great proven geometry that you are used to in the steel versions of these frames in a sweet new Ti flavor. The only difference is that there is no EBB on the El Mariachi.
The frames are being handbuilt to Salsa's exacting standards and geometry by Lynsky Performance Designs in Chattanooga, TN. Just in case you have been living under a rock, the Lynsky family founded Litespeed back in 1986 and sold the company 1999. After a few years out of the business they are back with a new name and a renewed passion for building bicycles. So, these folks know Ti.
The end result are two beautiful Ti frames with that familiar Salsa flair. No paint, just elegant natural Ti in an industrial mill finish with a laser etched downtube panel and model name.
Now it is your chance to own a new classic, Salsa Ti. Most of these frames will be built on an as ordered basis so if you want one you need to pre-order now so it gets in on the first production run. We need your pre-order by December, 20th for an expected delivery date of late March, early April. Give us a call or shoot us an email and we can help you build your dream hardtail.
