The 2009 Kona Jake the Snake cyclocross frames are finally in stock. Bikeman's most popular cross frameset from last year has a cool new paint job and is ready to hit the dirt. Like the 2008 JTS, the 09 frameset features a Kona Race Light 7005 butted aluminum tubeset with a carbon fiber cross fork. Kona has been building cross bikes since 1998 and the the new JTS continues to set the industry standard for production cyclocross frames.
This is a race ready cross frame and fork that features Kona's tried and true cyclocross geometry that has won several National Championships over the last 11 years. The new carbon fork features an aluminum steerer tube and cantilever brake studs only weighs in at 1.5 lbs. For now the forks are not being offered as a stand alone product. The frame weighs in at a respectable 3.6lbs. Not the lightest frame in the world but I beleive it is one of the only one's in the world offered with a carbon fork at this pricepoint.
Kona's Jake the Snake is offered in 8 sizes to fit just about any rider. (sizes: 47, 49, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60, 62) The frame tubes are shaped for shouldering comfort and ride quality. Bikeman is already building up his new Jake, click the links below to view our product details and order your own JTS today.
